New York’s housing crisis is a real one, and there are plenty of places to get a two bedroom condo or apartment in Manhattan.
Here’s a guide to finding the right apartment for your needs.
The Big Apple is the hub of the U.S. housing market, and a major factor in the housing market is the supply of apartments available in the city.
New York is home to nearly 6.6 million residents, or one in five Americans, according to census data.
While many of those residents are young professionals who work in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut and other cities, many of the older residents of New York have moved out of the city in recent years.
The problem is not only with the people leaving.
The cost of living in New Yorkers neighborhoods has been rising, with the median income for a family of four now at $47,400, according the latest available data from the Census Bureau.
The average price for a one-bedroom apartment in the Big Apple was $1,062 in March, up 6.3 percent from the same month last year.
If you want a two-bedroom, you can pay around $1 million more in Newyork City, according a study published by the Real Estate Institute of New Jersey.
In Manhattan, a two bed-and-breakfast apartment for $1.75 million is currently on the market for a two, two-bedroom apartment, which is around four times the price of a comparable unit in Brooklyn.
One of the more affordable apartment options for a New Yorker is a two and a half bedroom apartment at a price of around $700,000 in Manhattan, according Toilu Lai, president of New Yorker Rentals.
A one bedroom apartment for a person of average or below income in Manhattan would cost $2,500 a month, according an apartment search website.
In Queens, one bedroom apartments for rent for a single person of $1 per month would cost about $2.50 a month.
There are plenty more options for apartment rentals in New England and parts of the South.
“A lot of people are renting out their two bedrooms, but there’s still a lot of options,” Lai said.
A two bedroom for $3,600 a month is also available in Boston.
When it comes to finding an affordable apartment, there are several factors to consider.
New York has one of the highest rates of evictions in the country, according data from RealtyTrac.
That is why Lai advises renters to check out rental ads, or the website Real Estate Finder to find out where to look.
Another option is to look for low-income apartments that are within walking distance of the borough of Manhattan, which has one- and two- bedroom apartments available for rent in the area for a $400-700 a month fee.
And there are also many places where you can live in your own apartment, such as in the suburbs, where there are more available units and prices are lower, according to the Housing Access Council.
You can also search for an apartment through Airbnb, which connects people who are renting a place in a new place.
To find an apartment in Brooklyn, check out the website Airbnb Brooklyn, which lists several options, such a two bedrooms for $2 million a month for one bedroom, and two bedrooms on the low end for $850 a month with a monthly rate of $2 a day.
Another thing to keep in mind when looking for an affordable home is the cost of rent.
In New York it is often a big concern when people rent a place they do not earn a salary.
Renters need to keep this in mind, said Lai.
“If they rent from the city, they will be paying a high rent, which can be a big reason why people are looking elsewhere,” Lia said.
